Buddy, Our Stallion

Buddy is our stallion.  He was our first Rocky.  Our original intention was to geld him and use him as a trail horse, but all of his admirable qualities convinced us to keep him a stallion.  He is quiet, gentle, intelligent, friendly, and he has a tremendous and special personality.  He also has a gorgeous, smooth ambling gait.

When we go on trail rides, he is the preferred mount.  He can be taken anywhere around any mares (in season or not), and he is always a perfect gentleman under saddle, as he knows he has more than one job to do.

To date, Buddy has sired eight foals:  Summer, Beauty, Flash, Rein, Storm, Shadow, Lady, and of course Sonny.  These eight colts and fillies all have a natural gait and a quiet, easy-going temperament.  We can't wait for the four more that will be born in 2006!
